Feeling sore after your session?
I have heard my clients, and even heard from other photographers tell me what THEIR client are saying too-
A Boudoir Session is like a WORK OUT!
The funky positions and angles, having to hold them for a time while the photographer gets the shot...
It's tiring!
So, what's the solution?
My resolve was to do more for my client's than just brush it off, so for the last 6 months, for about 10-15 mins right before we start to shoot, I have been stretching with my clients. Stretching? At first hearing this, some have said "that's silly, you aren't getting paid to spend extra time with them so why are you doing it?". Uh...
For many reasons-
- Because my #1 goal is provide an amazing experience to each of my clients! That alone is enough!
- If there is a problem, any problem, with an aspect of my service, regardless of this particular problem's "natural-ness", I want to do everything in my power to avoid ANY problems and make your experience the best it possibly can be- that includes making sure my clients are relaxed and having a good time, not feeling like I beat them up lol.
- Stretching before doing anything that will strain you is a MUST, and a boudoir shoot is such a work out that I honestly can't believe I haven't been doing it sooner!
Stepping up my game!
Stretching with my clients before we shoot is great and it has helped with the "soreness" issue a LOT, but I'm not a professional yogi (or whatever), I am a photographer and feel that I can only do so much to help them stretch... so what to do? How to fill this gap? I called up my friend and yoga instructor, Kara Stutzman, and she agreed to come up with a 30 min routine JUST for my clients!!! AMAZING! But even more amazing, she said that she will pop in during sessions to stretch with us to ensure that is no injury!
EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I LOVE THIS WOMAN ❤️
So, I want to introduce you to the latest team member of Boudoir By Elise and the newest addition to our preferred vendor's list-

Jin Shin Jyutsu/Body Work
$67 per hour, individual person private session
As licensed practitioners of the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, we follow specific meridians in the body to reconnect stuck body function energy. JSJ is often described as ‘acupuncture without needles’ because the practitioner gently holds specific points on the body to allow the body to heal. Jin Shin Jyutsu is ancient wisdom applied in a simple, practical way. This healing work is done with the client lying face up on a therapy table, and clothed to their level of comfort.
Axiotonal Alignment
$333, 2 private sessions, one individual, in 2 consecutive days
Sometimes referred to as the Reconnection, this 2-day vibrational attunement initiates a healing process that connects to every layer of your being to facilitate personal transformation. Like acupuncture for the spirit, this process reconnects your meridians to the energy grid of the cosmos (known as axiotonal lines). It greatly improves the integration of body, mind, and soul, and is often accompanied by positive shifts in one’s life.
